Bill Siksay won this riding in both 2004 and 2006. Considering that the polls are showing that the the Liberals are running a poor third in the province, I would think that if you want a vote for the environment that you would pick Siksay over the Liberal challenger, considering that the liberal vote is splitting to the conservatives rather than New Democrats.
One wouldn't want the conservative candidate to sneak up the middle when you "send mixed messages to potential voters" to pick. This is the problem with strategic voting - the unintended consequences.
