Not only is John Fryer a very strong candidate in comparison with the current NDP candidate, but it should be considered that last election the NDP had a strong showing BECAUSE of their 2005 candidate: Scott Fraser. If Scott Fraser were running again, I may think about voting strategically with the NDP, but I feel Ms. Maartman will not have nearly such a strong showing. Endorsement for John Fryer as the strategic vote should indeed be considered for recommendation here.
