VFE "polling" does not tell whole story; NDP ahead

The "polling" on the VFE riding profile looks to be the votes from last time, adjusted based on the most recent national (maybe regional) polls. It is not a reflection of actual local polling - because the big polling firms don't track every riding. The VFE model alone cannot take into account local political changes, including provincial opposition to the federal Conservatives and a very well-known NDP candidate. The most recent (and to my knowledge only) public poll taken solely in St. John's East shows the NDP candidate in the lead by a substantial margin.
